Late Founding Partner
Dan Korhorn, CWS®
Dan Korhorn, CWS®, co-founded Pathway Financial Design LLC in 2004 and continued in its daily operations until his passing in 2025.
As Chief Operations Officer, Dan’s expertise in sorting through complex financial details made him an invaluable part of the daily work at Pathway Financial Design as well as at HBW Partners Tax Services LLC.
Dan loved helping people achieve financial independence. He came from a blue-collar background and upbringing. He believed that Pathway advisors are stewards regarding our client’s finances and we should treat clients as we would our own family.
Originally from Ada, Michigan, Dan attended Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Grand Rapids Community College. He was married for 28 years to his wife, Kim. They have two daughters, Emma and Lily.
”We are a resource for clients where they can get all things financial handled through one company and one relationship. Our goal is to help people, serve them, offer answers to problems, and organize their finances to make their future easier to manage.”
— Dan Korhorn
Dan was a rock, solid as they came. Solid in his beliefs, his faith, his family, and his clients. You never wondered what he was thinking, and he was willing to speak and put into words what most of us were thinking. He was incredibly smart, could remember things most of us would not even come close to remembering. He was always our go to if we needed to phone a friend on some weird off-the-wall question, call Dan and he probably knew the answer. He also loved great food. We all learned after a little while, if Dan recommended a place to go eat, don’t question it, just go and enjoy a fantastic meal! If you want to read his thoughts on BBQ in West Michigan, stop by our office and see a framed copy of his words.
Those who knew Dan would tell you he would want to be remembered for his authenticity, caring nature, and sharp wit. His two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer was a tremendous example of grit, courage, and hope. The world’s deep loss is Heaven’s gain, where fellow believers will someday reunite with him in joy.
